Born in 1961, Mr. Kim Byoungho has nearly 40 years of experience in the financial industry. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Hana Bank, which is the second-largest bank in Korea, as well as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hana Financial Group in Korea. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in driving comprehensive innovation and strong growth at Hana Bank, propelling it to become one of the largest banks in Korea and extending its reach globally.
Under Mr. Kim Byoungho's leadership at Hana Financial Group, he oversaw the acquisition of Seoul Bank in 2002, successfully bringing Hana Bank into the league of Korea's largest banks. In 2012, he spearheaded Hana Bank's repurchase of over 51% of Korea Exchange Bank (KEB) capital from Lone Star Fund (USA). The transaction was completed in 2015, propelling Hana Bank's total assets to over USD 240 billion and solidifying its position as the top bank in Korea in terms of international network with 137 branches across 24 countries. Mr. Kim was also instrumental in directing numerous international projects of Hana Bank in various markets including Indonesia, China, the US, and Vietnam.
On April 26, 2022, Mr. Kim Byoungho was elected as an independent member of HDBank's Board of Directors, and subsequently elected by the Board of Directors to serve as the Chairman of HDBank's Board of Directors starting from April 29, 2022.

With extensive experience in various economic sectors in Vietnam and other parts of the world, particularly in the banking and financial industry, Mdm. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao has held management positions in foreign banks and established and managed several banks in Vietnam. As the Permanent Vice Chairwoman of HDBank, she has been instrumental in leading numerous innovations that have enabled the bank to achieve sustainable growth and development.
Beyond her business acumen, Mdm. Thao has actively participated in various educational, social, and charitable organizations that promote community cohesion.
Mdm. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao has joined HDBank's Board of Directors since June 30, 2005, and has since directed a series of reforms that have propelled the bank to the top of the industry.

An expert in finance and banking, Mr. Luu Duc Khanh held senior management positions at several banks, including HSBC, Techcombank, ABBANK, etc., and contributed to their solid achievements in Vietnam.
Mr. Luu Duc Khanh has joined HDBank's Board of Directors since July 03, 2009. He has participated in the introduction of many strategies relating to business operation, risk management, technology, etc., which aim at transforming the Bank into a modern international institution.

In over 30 years working in the banking-finance sector, Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh has held various senior leadership roles at VPBank, HSBC, ACB, ABBank, and Techcombank. Before joining HDBank, he gained extensive experience in modern banking management and operations.
He held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at HDBank from 2013 to 2020, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of HDBank for the 2020-2025 period. During this period, he focused on HDBank’s core operations, including strategic transformations, bank diversification, green credit, supply chain finance, digital transformation, digital ecosystem expansion, and corporate culture.
Under Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh’s leadership, HDBank maintained high and stable growth while consistently fostering innovation in our operations, technology, and sustainable development practice aligned with ESG principles.
He was elected as a member of the Board of Directors on April 26, 2023 and assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors on May 13, 2025.

Mr. Le Manh Dung has nearly 30 years of experience in Banking and Finance, used to hold the position of Head of Credit Department of Worri Bank, Director of the Financial Institution Advisory Group of Citi Capital Partners, Investment Director of Mekong Capital, the Chief Representative of the DEG Deutsche Investitions - und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, of the German Development Bank KFW in Vietnam.
In the role of Chief Representative, Mr. Le Manh Dung directly leads and builds DEG's investment strategy in the Vietnamese market, support potential businesses in Vietnam to develop sustainably, create long-term values for the economy as well as the community and society.
Mr. Le Manh Dung has joined HDBank's Board of Directors since April 26, 2022.

Invest in the young generation
HDBank has accompanied the HDBank International Chess Tournament since 2011. This is the largest annual international chess tournament organized by Vietnam under the competition system of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) starting from 2011. The tournament is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HDBank), Vietnam Chess Federation and Ho Chi Minh City Chess Federation with the authorization of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Sports Administration and the support of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
As a sponsor, HDBank decided to make a long-term investment in Chess for two reasons. Firstly, Chess is a sport that anyone can play: from children to students and the elderly. Second, Chess is a sports capable of connecting countries through the language of the intellectuals - the language of Chess.
Through each season, the HDBank International Chess Tournament has experienced an increase in the quality of the tournament as well as the number of players, from more than 42 countries and territories of 5 continents around the world participating in the competition. Through the organization of the top chess tournament, converging the quintessence of the world chess village, Vietnamese players will have more opportunities to compete with players from all over the world.
From the cradle of the HDBank International Chess Tournament, many domestic chess talents have been discovered and fostered such as: Le Quang Liem, Dao Thien Hai, Cao Sang, Tu Hoang Thong, Nguyen Duc Hoa, Tran Tuan Minh, Nguyen Van Huy, Nguyen Anh Khoi, Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung…
According to experts, in Asia, the HDBank tournament is considered the most attractive, with a high level of expertise compared to international chess tournaments in the world. The tournament also contributes to bringing the image of a beautiful, peaceful, and developing Vietnam to the world and bringing the world to Vietnam.
Since 2017, HDBank has accompanied the Futsal Tournament to join hands to raise the level of Vietnamese futsal in regional and continental arenas. Right in 2017, Vietnam Futsal football has achieved a proud result. Vietnam Futsal Club reached the semi-finals of the Asian Club Futsal Cup for the first time. Together with the HDBank International King's Prize, the Futsal Tournament has contributed to improving intellectual and physical strength and promoting the brand and image of Vietnam to international audience.

Simultaneously, HDBank and Proparco (French Development Finance Organization) also signed a long-term credit financing cooperation agreement worth 100 million USD. The agreements are based on cooperation for sustainable development, creating long-term values for the economy as well as the community and society, in which, HDBank plays the role of servicing and disbursing bank for renewable energy development projects in Vietnam.
In December 2021, HDBank and International Finance Corporation (IFC) - a member of the World Bank - signed a contract to provide a loan of 70 million USD to increase capital for renewable energy projects in Vietnam.
